Jewelry

Jewelry making is a relatively easy craft to learn. My 8-year old granddaughter has made several bracelets using "stretch magic" (elastic) and she has now learned most of the skill needed to attach metal necklace and bracelet closures. I discovered the pleasure of jewelry making several years ago while watching a few jewelry crafters on HGTV, browsing through dozens of jewelry making magazines (and purchasing a few) and reviewing several library books on the topic. I started with simple pieces, like drop earrings and bracelets using "stretch magic."

I expect to have selected jewelry pieces available for purchase in early 2010. A fellow crafter and I are making plans to produce a video and/or DVD on jewelry making, covering recycled cardboard boxes and other re-use ideas.
